You now have the option to make an on-line contribution to FBC using a credit or debit card or a bank draft from your checking account. Electronic giving           (E-Giving) will not take the place of offering envelopes unless a person requests to be removed from the offering envelope list, but is an additional option for persons who would prefer this alternative.

FAQ

What are the advantages to on-line giving?

A donation can be made at any time and from any place that has access to the internet. When on vacation or away from the church, you can still make your contribution. Many people are relying less on cash and checks and more on electronic methods. For these persons, on-line giving can be more practical and convenient. There is also the ability through E-Giving for gifts to be scheduled for a specific time or even recurring times.

For what purposes will I be able to use E-Giving?

Gifts can be made to the Ministry Budget, the BUOH in Missions Budget, and the Capital Campaign.

Is this method of giving better?

That will depend on each person’s habits and preference. How an offering is made is not as important as whether or not an offering is made.

Will the church keep a record of credit and debit card numbers?

No, the church will never receive that information. That information is retained and protected by the company administering the program for the church.

What credit cards can I use to make a gift through E-Giving?

You may use VISA, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.

Is there a cost to make an online contribution?

There is no cost to the donor. There is a small transaction fee that is assessed to the church for every transaction (2.5% for credit cards and .50 for an ACH transaction). A donor may choose to add a small additional amount to the donation to offset the fee.

Can I present my credit or debit card at the church to make a contribution or pay for an event?

No, all transactions must be made on-line because we have secured a company to handle the administration of the transactions. The company has all of the security features and safeguards in place to allow your transaction to be handled properly and securely.
