with Developmental Disabilities |

In 1979, FBC began its ministry to developmentally disabled
individuals. Initially providing care for one developmentally disabled

The Herbie Embrey Group Home Endowment Fund |
||
|
Some residents of the homes are unable to pay the fees
required to live there. In response, FBC has established an endowment fund,
the proceeds of which are used to scholarship these individuals so that they
may continue to live there. The fund is named the Herbie Embrey Endowment
Fund to honor the memory of a former resident of the Cates Home who had
endeared himself not just to FBC, but the entire community. While
administered by FBC and supported primarily by its members, the Herbie Embrey
Group Home Endowment Fund accepts contributions from any individual, agency,
or institution that wishes to be supportive of this cause. All contributions
to the fund are fully tax deductible. |
